What is Hone Health, and what is Rythm?
Hone Health is an online clinic. A physician reads your bloodwork, and the plan that follows often includes prescription medication and Hone's own supplements.
Rythm is a blood-test subscription you run from home. A kit arrives each month, you collect a small capillary sample, and Rythm's own lab sends results to an app.
Both begin with a blood panel and part ways at the draw. One usually sends you to a lab, and the other sends a kit to you.
What does Hone Health include?
Premium opens with a $65 test and then bills $155 a month, while Basic bills $25 a month. Medication sits outside both.
Hone's Premium path has four stages:
- Measure what matters — Book the comprehensive panel at a partner lab.
- Consult with a licensed physician — A 1:1 video appointment reviews your labs and history.
- Ongoing personalized care — Retesting continues, with medications and supplements available through the program.
- Optimize your health — Every quarter, you retest and sit down with your clinician again.
Basic leaves out the included visit. Members review results on a dashboard, retest twice a year, and can pay $75 (men) or $100 (women) for a physician consult. Plus, the third tier, is for men only: a hormone program that tests 8 to 11 biomarkers with an at-home kit, at $135 a month after a $45 initial test. Hone publishes no biological-age score.
What does Rythm include?
A Rythm subscription costs $79 a month. It includes a kit every 30 days, free sample pickup, results in the app, and the AI Coach, while checkout adds shipping and tax.
Rythm's three-step process is short:
- At-home test — You collect the sample with a Tasso+ device, which Rythm calls FDA-cleared.
- Send — The kit goes back by FedEx, either picked up from your door or dropped off.
- Results within 2 days — Rythm's own CLIA-certified, CAP-accredited lab runs the panel.
A Rythm Score appears after your first completed test, and a Biological Age after the second. The AI Coach comes with every active subscription at no usage limit.
What biomarkers do Hone Health and Rythm measure in 2026?
Hone Health lists 50+ biomarkers on Basic and Premium. Rythm quotes 25+ biomarkers per kit, with separate panels for men and women.
| Hone Health | Rythm | |
|---|---|---|
| Initial draw | 63 biomarkers listed across both sexes (51 distinct and 12 calculated) | 27-28 biomarkers (21-22 distinct and 6 calculated) |
| Follow-up draw | Retest every 3 months (Premium) or 6 months (Basic) | A new kit every month by default |
| Headline count | 50+ lab tests | 25+ biomarkers |
Neither published list includes urinalysis, so the counts share a basis. Across both sexes, Hone's 63-marker list is set against the 30 markers Rythm lists, 27 or 28 per member. Rythm's FAQ attributes the sex-specific panels to the limit on how many biomarkers one collection can hold.
Hone's imaging add-ons:
- Whole-body MRI — Prenuvo scans, offered at a discounted Hone rate.
- Body composition — BodySpec DEXA scans, open to all members.
Rythm sells no add-on tests today, and its FAQ places an add-on option "on the roadmap."
What are the official 2026 membership prices for Hone Health and Rythm?
Hone Health's Premium plan is a $1,860 annual program, and Basic is a $300 one, with medication excluded from both. Rythm charges $79 a month, billed every 30 days.
Twelve Rythm kits add up to $948, a total Rythm does not print itself, and shipping and tax come on top. Members can skip up to 90 days without being charged for the skipped months. First-order discounts change from page to page, so $79 is the figure to plan around.
Opening fees come on top of those plan prices. Counting the $65 initial test, Premium's first year comes to $1,925, while the $25 test plus $25 onboarding fee lift Basic's to $350.
Both are HSA/FSA eligible, with plan rules deciding what reimburses. Hone does not accept insurance, and Rythm says it is not currently covered by insurance.
How does each company collect your blood?
Hone's Premium plan requires a lab draw. On the Optimization programs, a GetLabs phlebotomist can come to your home or work, free for initial labs and member-paid for follow-ups. The men's hormone plan uses an at-home kit, and women test at a lab.
Rythm skips the lab entirely. You collect a capillary sample into the same Microtainer tubes traditional healthcare uses, then scan a QR code to book a free FedEx pickup. The kit typically ships within 1 business day.
How often do you test, and how fast do results arrive?
Rythm recommends testing every month, with at least three tests to set a baseline. Hone's Premium retest comes every 3 months, and Basic's every 6.
Hone's results take about 10 business days at a lab, then 1 to 2 business days of physician review. Rythm's arrive within 2 days of the sample reaching its lab, a pace that follows from its smaller panel. That clock starts at the lab, so shipping out and back adds days around it.
Who reviews your results, and who prescribes?
Hone's physicians review results, hold consults, and write prescriptions across hormone, thyroid, weight, heart, and sexual health, plus longevity. Medication is priced separately. Those prescriptions come through Premium and Plus, because Basic excludes hormone replacement along with weight-loss and thyroid therapies.
Rythm's role stops at the data. A state-licensed physician signs off on results before release, which is a laboratory step and not a consultation. The AI Coach explains your numbers, and the FAQ says Rythm does not prescribe and recommends that members with concerns follow up with their own primary care provider. You can share results with your doctor as a PDF, CSV, or link.

Where are Hone Health and Rythm tests available?
Hone draws at 2,000+ partner labs, but its availability table lists no plan in 13 states and Washington, D.C., New Jersey among them. New York carries every plan except the men's Plus tier.
Rythm is available in all 50 states. You need a U.S. shipping address that FedEx can reach, and it does not ship internationally.
Who is Hone Health best for, and who is Rythm best for?
Hone Health is best for:
- People who want a physician to review results and prescribe medication.
- People who want a supplement storefront alongside their lab work.
- People in a state Hone serves who are comfortable with monthly billing.
Rythm is best for:
- People who want a blood test every month without visiting a lab.
- People who want results within 2 days of the sample reaching the lab.
- People anywhere in the 50 states, including where Hone has no plan.
The bottom line
Hone Health suits you if bloodwork is the first step toward a physician-led medication plan. Rythm suits you if frequency matters more than depth, since a monthly kit never requires a trip to a lab.
Both leave part of the next step outside the fee. Rythm hands your data back to you and your own doctor, and Hone's plan comes with medication billed on top of $155 a month.
Superpower's $199 a year in most states is below both rivals here, with Hone Basic at $300 and twelve Rythm kits at $948, though Rythm samples every month where Superpower runs one draw. That draw, at a lab or at home for an added fee, covers 100+ biomarkers. Superpower AI folds in your wearables and medical records to write a Superpower Protocol, and AI and care team support answers questions as they arise. The marketplace sells supplements to members at up to 20% off. Prescriptions are available there when clinically appropriate, priced separately. 93% of members found their action plan more useful, even life-changing, than a yearly checkup.
Blood work is where a health plan starts, not where it ends. Build your home for health with Superpower today.
