Raquel’s Superpower: Motherhood

With two boys under six, Raquel figured exhaustion was part of the job description.
Between postpartum recovery, breastfeeding, and the relentlessness of early motherhood, Raquel had put herself on the back burner. She accepted her fatigue as the price of raising small children.
But then her excuses ran out.
"After I quit breastfeeding, after my son started sleeping through the night - all my excuses were gone,” Raquel tells us. “So why do I still feel this way? There's something else here."
That’s when she got a wake-up call from someone she never expected.
"I went to go get my hair done and my hairstylist is like, your hair is looking not so good," Raquel recalls. "Typically when hair starts to look like this, it's a hormonal issue. You should go get your blood work checked."
It was the push Raquel needed.
As a stay-at-home mom without insurance, she'd been putting off any kind of comprehensive checkup. But her hairdresser's words reframed the decision: "I'm a mom with two kids. I need to prioritize my wellbeing because if something happens to me, what about my family?"
Finding Answers
Raquel found Superpower while searching for an accessible option for advanced testing.
"I made an appointment in less than five minutes. It was incredible. And I got my results back right away. "
Her initial hypothesis was a thyroid imbalance, but those numbers came back normal.
Something unexpected appeared in its place: her ferritin was critically low.
Ferritin reflects the body’s iron reserves, which help fuel energy, support oxygen delivery, and keep the body running well. When levels drop, it can show up as fatigue, brain fog, and even hair thinning. This discovery made everything click for Raquel.
"My ferritin was at a 30,” Raquel reports. “Dermatologists will tell you that you need at least a 70 in order to have optimal hair growth. And low ferritin can also lead to fatigue.”
The testing also revealed elevated cholesterol. *"*My grandpa passed away due to heart issues," Raquel shares. "I'm glad Superpower pointed it out because now I can get ahead of it while it's still manageable.”
The Shift
Superpower made clear, simple recommendations for lifestyle adjustments and supplements that could target Raquel’s concerns. And the impact was immediate.
Within just two weeks, she noticed hair regrowth, excitedly pointing out the “baby hairs” growing in - a clear, visible sign of improvement.
Alongside that, her energy levels rebounded.
"After two weeks I started to feel energy. Usually I get an afternoon slump. That disappeared.”
The change didn’t only give Raquel peace of mind. It changed how she shows up every day.
“A three o'clock crash is not ideal because I'm picking my son up from school, and he's gonna want to talk, and then I need to make dinner and then I need to give him a bath,” she says.
Now? Her days feel like less of a to-do list and she’s enjoying more intentional time with her kids.

From Exhaustion to Agency
When we asked Raquel to sum up her transformation, she didn’t hesitate: "Before Superpower, I was in exhaustion mode. After Superpower… I feel empowered. I have a sense of agency. I can take some ownership over that and know what I need to do to feel better."
Raquel has already recommended Superpower to her mom and her friends with young children.
"As a mom, it’s easy to say: ‘I have all of these things to do.’ But Superpower made it so easy... you have no more excuses. You can do this."
